Upon admission, each patient undergoes a thorough medical history
and physical exam as well as an ECG and pertinent cardiovascular
exam. Based on the assessment results, the patient is initiated into
our Cardiac Telemetry Monitoring Rehabilitation Program.
During a patient’s therapy program, continuous telemetry monitoring
is administered under direct supervision of an Advanced Cardiac Life
Support Certified RN, monitoring heart rate, cardiac rhythms, and
pertinent cardiovascular exam.
Our
Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation, Dr. Henry Altszuler, a Board
Certified Cardiologist, oversees the program and conducts weekly
team rounds.
Advanced Cardiac
Telemetry Monitoring Program
-
Cardiac patients receive a 24-hour
clinical cardiac assessment followed by telemetry monitored
rehabilitation therapy.
-
The advanced monitoring and
diagnostic system interprets and analyzes patient’s ECG patterns.
This allows for prompt and appropriate therapeutic measures to be
taken by the physician. Any abnormal patterns are automatically
faxed to Dr. Altszuler to review.
