Here's just a few comments from our
patients and their families:
Recently, I had the pleasure of being
a sub acute patient at Norwood Terrace Nursing and Rehab Center.
Please note I said 'pleasure.' My old school thought was "Don't ever
put me into a nursing home." This was the furthest thing from my
mind. Eventually, I did make a choice and it was for Norwood. I was
welcomed by the friendly staff and began to realize this is not what
I thought it would be. I felt secure and this was important to me.
During my 12 day stay I found the RNs, LPNs, aides and
administrative staff members very friendly and eager to help. My
occupational and physical therapist would greet me each morning with
a smile and saying "Are you ready? Let's go." To single out an
individual would not pay justice to a long list of dedicated workers
who work hard as a team. My sincere thanks and compliments to each
and everyone who attended me and helped to get me started on an
excellent road to recovery. 6/17/2009
"My association with the Center
now owned by AristaCare, known as AristaCare at Norwood Terrace, goes back to the grand opening of the
newly constructed building and Center know as The Robert Wood
Johnson Health Care Center under the original ownership and
management in 1985. They had done an impressive job and I did
not know what to expect with the change in ownership and
management. To my surprise and delight AristaCare under the
leadership of Mr. Sidney Greenberger began the transformation
with improvements and the redecoration of the living areas for
the residents.
Insuring continuity of care by retention of existing personnel
as much as possible in clinical departments, Mr. Greenberger has
conceptualized and put in place an entirely new capability for
post acute services with special attention to physical medicine
and rehabilitation, cardiology, and wound care. There has been
established a specialty advisory board in medicine and surgery
for ongoing review and development of new services. The
Directors of the special post acute programs are, respectively:
Dr. Harish Bhatt, Dr. Henry Altszuler, and Dr. David Richmand.
Mr. Stephen Isaac, Administrator, has experienced a seamless
transition in leadership at AristaCare at Norwood Terrace during
this major period of change. AristaCare at Norwood Terrace is
providing services second to none in this area."

"We would like to thank everybody for the good and loving care
you gave to our mother. You made us realize that nursing homes are NOT all the same. You have a
very special place, and everyone has been wonderful from administration down to housekeeping.
Keep up the good work - we'll never forget you."
Sincerely,
~ Joe S., Vicky D., and Family
"I want you to know that during my stay at
AristaCare at Norwood Terrace for sub acute rehab, I received the most wonderful and
caring attention from ALL of the staff on that floor. They took such
good care of me, and were most efficient in doing their work. I want to
especially say that nurses Paulette, Rose, and Mimi were so kind and
attentive to my needs. I also can't forget all the nurses' aides who
were all so great, especially Joyce. I would not hesitate to recommend
AristaCare at Norwood Terrace, and when the time comes for me to seek long term care, I only
hope that there will be a place for me there."
Sincerely,
~ Lillian D.
"Dear Dr. Y.,
Just a brief not to let you know the progress Daddy has made as
AristaCare at Norwood
Terrace.
He is beyond expectations! Within 8 days of admission, they have him off
diapers and able to toilet himself.
He is awake, alert, able to have a conversation. He is able to count his
exercises at therapy. Best of all he is able to walk! He was walking
with a walker 80 feet, 2 weeks ago. Today I saw him walk with the walker
from therapy, onto the elevator up to his nurse for blood sugar check
and to his room without having to sit. He is getting therapy with some
wonderful people.
I cannot say enough about AristaCare at Norwood Terrace. All CNA's, nurses, EVERY
single person there, even the person that cleans the rooms is so nice,
caring and sensitive. If he needs any help, they provide it immediately
and with a wonderful, caring attitude. I have witnesses him getting
blood sugar checks, blood pressure checks, all meds and am totally
convinced this is a quality care place.
Because of his excellent progress, they are planning discharge soon."
Sincerely,
~ Jean D.
"I am writing to express my appreciation
for the wonderful care my mother, Jean R., received at AristaCare at Norwood Terrace
throughout her recent stay there. On a visit to New Jersey from her home
in Florida, my mother became ill and had to be hospitalized twice over a
three week period. Because she was restricted to extended bed rest, my
mother left the hospital very weak and barely able to walk. Her
condition jeopardized our plans to relocate her permanently to an
independent living community here in New Jersey.
Fortunately, we were able to place my mother at AristaCare at Norwood Terrace for a
course of rehabilitation. The pleasant and positive surroundings lifted
her spirits immediately. Thanks to the competence and professionalism of
the entire staff, my mother's strength, mobility, and overall physical
condition improved steadily. Everyone - administrators, doctors, nurses,
rehabilitation therapists, aides, recreation, housekeepers, and food
service workers – was highly competent and unfailingly pleasant. As a
result of their dedication and skill, my mother's stay at AristaCare at Norwood
Terrace was extremely effective in stabilizing her medical status and
getting her back on her feet. She is now living happily on her own.
I know my mother shares my gratitude for the extraordinary care she
received. We send our deepest thanks to you and to the entire AristaCare
at Norwood
staff."

"It seems that far too often we find time to criticize but find no time
to praise, hence this letter.
My Uncle Joe has been a patient at your Center for five months.
Whenever I visit him, I am always impressed with the kindness, dignity
and respect that all of your staff show the patients. I know that their
job is not an easy one and I would appreciate it if you would share my
thoughts with them, that the fine care they give does not go unnoticed.
A favorite quote of mine: There is nothing stronger in the world than
gentleness - Han Suyin.
When my husband and I left Uncle Joe this weekend, he commented that it
feels okay to leave him and he is well taken care of.
My heartfelt gratitude."
